The most meaningful thing in my college days

I am just beginning to tackle a big project, with full of enjoyment, happiness and passion, just consider it the most meaningful thing I've done in my college time although i am just make few steps on this long journey.

The project is about classifing and converting Prof. Cao Wei's lecture notes on Optimization Methods on the computer which was originally wittern on papers by Professor Cao in 1989-1990, just a few years after his returning from Syracuse University in the U.S. Professor Cao is a pioneer and forerunner in researching moment method in electromagnetic field theory which is generally considered today as the de-facto standard in analyzing antennas in computational electromagnetics.

I'm deeply enchanted by the preciseness and modesty Professor Cao has in spending a whole afternoon attending his class "Optimization Methods". He is just the person you want to study from. No exaggeration to say，he is one of the ideal advisor and fren that the most talented and self-motivated students in the world ever dreamed of. In his lecture note, every equation have a several-page long detailed deduction with the most fundemantal concept explained and illustrated clearly. No book in optimization theory, i mean not a single, is able to rival that. It's very suitable for self-study coz many many math stuffs will make you clear about every single operation and complicated concept.

It's really a huge supprise that Prof. Cao lent his lecture nodes to me for copying. Frankly, at the moment of the first sight, I decide to contribute something. Finally, I told Prof. Cao that I want to classified all of these and make an electronic book, just for spreading, to let more students enjoy the elegance of optimization. He looked at me with unexpectedly surprise, and asked me "really?" I confirmed again --"Yes!". He is happy, i can felt that, and more importantly, I am happy too. I am happy coz I am able to participate, to contribute to a grand project that making something lasting for a very very long period of time, maybe forever. This is the first time, I fell such a near, clear and ture figure of forever. Trust me, I am not day-dreaming although it is night here now :)
